Does anyone have some tips to help me stop smoking?
I am trying to stop smoking without buying Nicorette or Commit. does anyone know of anything that can help?
Reckon about the all of the taxes that the government is trying to impose on cigarettes.
Then imagine how much money you would save a month/year if you weren't a smoker.
Excellent luck.
cold turkey worked for me. i chewed a lot of gum along the way too.
I'm also trying to quit smoking. My best tip: keep as much sugar-free candy and gum on your person as you can. it helps a lot to have something to place in your mouth when a cigarette craving hits.
If you have any triggers (for me, alcohal and caffeine always make me want to smoke), try avoiding them as well.
Nothign really worked for me until i REALLY wanted to quit adn then I just did it codl turkey from 3 1/2 packs a day.
If you really want to quit, either something will help or you will find the strength to do it on your own. It's not simple but you can do it if you feel strongly enough about it. Do let those you care about know first what's going on so they will understadn your moodiness and be able to support you. That's going to be the most vital thing for you to have IMO
Excellent luck!
.
Make a plan, and slowly limit yourself. like, for the first week, have one less than you usually do, mark it down on your calander. it would be simpler if you had someone help you.
I say the best way to quit anything is cold turkey. just give it up and you will forget it forever. I mean, I have never smoked, but I know I cant just give up on chocolate. Then again, chocolate doesnt give me life threatening diseases like emphazema, lung cancer, cancer of the throat, tooth decay, gingivitis, and I could go on and on. So if chocolate did all of those things and more, I would quit cold turkey. Can you?

P.S- if it helps, try eating some chocolate to quit the craving. LOL!
They have new medication out now. it is soppose to get rid of "all" your withdrawal symptoms. My doctor gave me script for it, but I'm just not ready yet. Call your doctor and ask for it. it is soppose to be very helpful.
