“Forget about new Year’s resolutions. They’re a waste of time, and we nearly always break them and then feel lousy because we do. do the best you can, when you can, and as much as you can. And do it all for somebody else, not yourself.?—Nancy LaNasa, Abhaya Yoga Center
“When it comes to new Year’s resolutions, the largest pitfalls regarding fitness that people should avoid include setting unrealistic goals, as well as lack of variety in an exercise routine. as far as goals, you always should remember where you are starting. You must set realistic goals so that you do not get discouraged. when it comes to variety, you have to incorporate variety in order to see results. going out and doing the exact same exercises every day is not going to produce very good results. Find things that you enjoy and incorporate them into your exercise routine.?—Kenzie Presnell, Fixed on Fitness

Resolution: To lose weightWhat are some tips for those of us looking to finally win the Battle of the Bulge in the new Year?
“Many times we make the decision to lose weight for the new Year, but following through can be very hard. Deciding on when to start is one of those obstacles. The longer we procrastinate, the lesser the chance of us making it happen. Another obstacle is the concern for cost. Adding weight over the years is not inexpensive in itself, but. We found that most of our clients were saving money because they were eating out less, were able to shop in their closets and often were able to reduce their prescription costs. The largest pitfall probably is getting discouraged. it is hard to do it alone. Dieting with a diet partner or even in a weight loss program with supportive staff is very vital. Also, setting achievable goals and having your results measured in more ways than just weight is essential. Body measurements, bioelectric impedance analysis and blood pressure and blood sugar checks are also indicators of weight loss success.?—Rika Edge, Physician’s WEIGHT LOSS Centers
“Weight loss is the number one new Year’s resolution. it is also one of the resolutions with the top failure rate. Weight loss can be slow in the beginning, but adding a treatment that produces results with a modest price can give someone the motivation to keep up with their diet or exercise. Still Waters Slim Wrap can reduce circumferential measurements to give you that extra reward. This full body wrap uses compression, minerals and steam to slim each area.?—Mary Anne Aanestad, Still Waters Day & Medical Spa
