Is there a higher risk of gaining weight when ur on the pill and quit smoking?
was 113 pounds before i started smoking now im 19 and 100 pounds. im gonna go on loestrin the birth control contraceptive and quit smoking as well. what are my chances of gaining weight?
Your weight always fluctuates during the day. the only reason you lost weight after starting smoking is because you replaced snacks with your addiction. I don't think you'll gain anymore after quitting birth control but you will after quitting smoking because your need to place things in your mouth will make you eat more to fill that void smoking has left behind.
It will increase for sure, cuz that's a double whammy, but you have control of the situation. You know that your food cravings will increase from birth control, and that you have a chance of replacing an addiction to nicotine with food, so prepare yourself mentally for that. Change your habits to counter it, eat often but in smaller parts, start an exercise routine, make yourself busy so you don't have time to think about the addiction.
