AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) demonstrated what is meant by ‘being innovative’ in real terms. In recently concluded FPD International 2009 held from October 28 to October 30 in Yokohama, Japan, this company demonstrated their state of the art newest e-paper having built-in many rich features.
Some of the features include 6-inch flexible size, using Microcup technology, very low usage of power etc. The power is consumed only at the time when images are updated whereas while reading no power is consumed.
That means the most eco-friendly will be out in mass volume for the eco-friendly readers in 2010. Watch out.
