I'm 15 and he's 16 and we've been dating for a while. he recently stopped smoking pot and drinking for me, but took up smoking cigarettes, and now he's addicted to those. I think they're nasty and he won't smoke around me, but still, his clothes and car smell like them. Help?
Some people have a hard time quitting a terrible habit because they have done it for so long. he may make the choice to quit on his own, or he may not. The best you can do is sit down and explain to him why his smoking bothers you. Or you may just have to have him change his clothes before he comes around you. it is really up to him if he chooses to quit or not. if you absolutely cannot live with it, then perhaps you may need to consider another boyfriend.
Be cool and nice about it. tell him that you don't like it and it can kill him. It's terrible for him and you just care about him. be patient and polite but don't give up. Look up reasons that smoking is terrible for you and tell him and show him. There are many members of my family who have died from smoking and my dad had to have surgery on his lungs from it and isn't going to live for much longer. it hurts knowing that…
Unfortunately…….let him make up his own mind. Attempting to convince someone is very hard. Especially when it comes to a terrible habit. They know it's not excellent but they'll continue doing it. But…..Im not against reminding people of the side effects that come with smoking. And……..telling him it's a great big turn off!!!
There's no way to convince him. he knows the health risk. Either break up with him or deal with it. He's only quit pot/booze for you not for himself, so when you do finally break up he'll start again.
just kidnap him and tie him to an electric chair allow cigarets but everytime he inhales ZAP HIM keep it up for 3-4 weeks and he will never smoke again but he will never be your boyfreind again cause you'll be in prision and he will hate your guts.
Smoking impairs sperm count therefore resulting is LOW sperm count, so let him know that when he grows old and he still hasn't let go of that cancer stick he may NOT have children, or his children might have defects cause smoking can alter genetics.
